EQUIPMENT TRAILERS AT CRESTVIEW
In my years working on the PGA Tour you would typically see 10 to 15 trailers at each week’s event. If you wander over to the south parking lot this week at Crestview you will see two trailers. The Web.Com is supported by a full time tour-funded trailer that attends every event. In addition, smaller company rigs share time on the Champions, LPGA and Web.Com. The 53 ft. Web.Com trailer is operated by Tom, an independent contractor, who has followed the tour for 20 plus years. Tom’s trailer stocks heads, grips, shafts, balls and gloves from every company. The trailer is a unique mingling of players, caddies and reps from competing companies working side by side. Tom’s role is critical to both the success of the players and the equipment companies on the Web.Com Tour.
