Wedge Fitting
One of the most common finds when we spec out clubs during an iron fitting is large gaps in loft once we get to the wedges. The loft on the modern Pitching Wedge has gotten stronger (typically 44-46°) and that has created a big space between the end of your iron set and the Sand Wedge (typically 56°). That 10° to 12° gap leads to missed greens and higher scores. Proper loft gaps of 4-5° are recommended. We use our launch monitor to confirm your carry yardages and spec out your current wedges to insure that you have the proper gaping. A wedge fitting at Golf Etc Wichita also helps you decide head type, shaft selection and bounce angle that best suits your swing and common turf and sand conditions.
