Cobra Bio Cell

Cobra Bio Cell

This week’s addition takes a look at the new Cobra Bio Cell driver. My testing started with a comparison to my current “gamer” driver so I started with a comparable loft. I quickly realized that I needed to increase the loft. The Bio Cell features a redesigned lighter crown that lowers the center of gravity producing lower spin, thus requiring a higher launch to keep the ball in the air. Once the loft was moved up the results were outstanding. The Bio Cell produced higher ball speed, lower spin and was 10 yards longer in comparison to my “gamer”. One noticeable feature of the driver was that on high face misses I did not see an increase in the spin numbers that normally rob me of valuable carry distance. The Bio Cell features loft adjustability from 9 to 12 degrees and comes in Red, Blue, Orange, Silver and new for 2014 Black. The stock shaft offering is the Grafalloy PXv in L, A, R, S, X. Our custom fitting cart also features a number of other after-market shafts available during a driver fitting.
