This week we take a look at the Nike Covert 2.0 and Covert Tour 2.0. The 2014 edition is a 460cc head in a more pear shaped design. The 7% larger face provides a ton of forgiveness on off center hits. Testing on the launch monitor showed higher launch, lower spin and increased distance from the 2013 model. The 2.0 Tour model will launch the ball lower and spin even a little less and is not as draw biased as the standard model.
 
The Nike Flex Loft adaptor allows for independent movement of face angle and loft so I was able to maintain the loft I needed and turn that fade into a nice draw. The loft range is from 8.5 to 12.5.
 
The stock shaft is the Mitsubishi Kuro Kage 2.0 in L,R,S,X. Custom options are available from Oban, Fujikura, Matrix and Aldila. The driver comes in deep red with the classic Nike swoosh on the heel area of the crown. Make sure to add this driver to your must hit list when you come in for a fitting.
